From Artogne

A workshop that grew with the work.

Nova-Trex began as a small workshop in Artogne in 1990. Today we work alongside cable and tube manufacturers on specific stages of their production.

01 / Our processes

Three processes. One specialist partner.

We carry out wire armouring, braided shielding, braided armouring and taping as stages in cable and tube manufacturing. Each operation is defined around the component, materials and processing specifications.

01 / Armouring

Wire armouring

Wire armouring places metal wires around a cable or tube to form its armour. It is an intermediate stage of manufacturing, defined around the product’s mechanical protection requirements.

Wire and configuration

We use galvanised iron wire, selecting the diameter for the required operation. Our equipment includes five machines, with configurations of up to 90 positions.

Material: Galvanised iron
Wire diameter: 0.60–3 mm

02 / Braiding

Braiding

Braiding interlaces wires around the component. We carry out two distinct operations: braided shielding and braided armouring, using materials selected for the intended application.

Braided shielding

For electrical shielding requirements, we use conductive materials including copper and brass-coated bronze. Wire selection depends on the component specifications.

Braided armouring

For armouring, we use galvanised iron or stainless steel wire. The braid forms a metal covering intended for mechanical protection.

03 / Taping

Taping

Taping wraps one or more tapes around a cable or tube. The material, width and thickness are selected to suit the component dimensions and processing specifications.

Metallic and non-metallic tapes

We work with iron, copper, polyester, non-woven, semiconductive and glass tapes. We also use copper-polyester and aluminium-polyester laminates.

Tape width: 3–50 mm
Thickness · iron: 0.10–0.50 mm
Thickness · copper: 0.05–0.25 mm

02 / The company

Workshop roots. Industrial expertise.

Nova-Trex began in 1990 as a small workshop in the cable sector in Artogne, near Brescia, Italy. Since then, our role has been to support cable and tube manufacturers by carrying out specific stages of their production process.

From the early 2000s, we expanded our expertise and facilities and began serving international markets. Today, we work with customers in Italy and abroad, specialising in wire armouring, braiding and taping.

From metal wires to tapes in a range of materials, we define the operation around the product. We can handle both wooden and metal reels, so reel format is another detail to share alongside your cable or tube specifications.

How we define your processing requirements.

Start with the component
Tell us the cable or tube type, its dimensions and the operation you need. Drawings and specifications, if available, help us understand the processing requirements.
Agree the materials and operation
Together, we define the type of armouring, braiding or taping and the materials to use. We agree wire or tape dimensions and the reel format.
Carry out the production stage
We carry out the agreed intermediate operation on your cable or tube. Our work covers this specific stage of your manufacturing process.
